Free Composting service at Bloomfield Farmers Market!

How it does it work?

Empty 5-gallon buckets with animal-proof twist-top lids will be available at the market along with a container of bokashi powder. Sprinkle this powder as you add food scraps to your bucket. Each week return your full bucket (because of the bokashi I can take anything that’s edible: meat, dairy, coffee, egg shells, citrus) and trade for an empty one. Your food scraps will be composted by worms and black soldier flies at Slowpoke Farm, here in Bloomfield.
